Returns & Warranty Policy

Jensen Race Team Limited (Company No. 16959270)

3.1 Statutory Cancellation Rights (The Cooling-Off Period)

Pursuant to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, the Customer possesses a fundamental statutory right to cancel their order within 14 days of taking physical possession of the goods, without the necessity of providing justification. To legally exercise this right, the Customer must notify the Company via a formal written declaration. The Customer is legally obligated to return the goods at their own financial expense within 14 days of issuing the cancellation notice. A full financial refund, inclusive of standard outbound logistical costs, shall be processed within 14 days following the Company's verified receipt of the returned items.

3.2 Strict Conditions for Return Authorization

To successfully qualify for a standard refund, all goods must be returned in their original, undamaged OEM packaging, complete with all technical manuals, fixtures, and mounting fittings. The goods must absolutely not have been used, fitted, or subjected to mechanical torque or fluid integration. The Company retains the statutory right to deduct financial value from the final refund if forensic inspection indicates the goods exhibit signs of handling that exceed what is strictly necessary to establish their basic nature, characteristics, and functioning.

3.3 Exclusion of Non-Returnable Items

For reasons of structural safety, technical integrity, and legislative compliance, the following categories of items are strictly excluded from the standard 14-day return policy, unless they are proven to be fundamentally defective upon initial arrival:

Installed Mechanical Components

Any hardware that has been fitted, bolted, torqued, or subjected to operational fluids and extreme heat cycles.

Electrical and Computational Parts

Engine Control Units (ECUs), vital sensors, complex wiring harnesses, and high-voltage ignition components. This exclusion mitigates the extreme risk of invisible short-circuiting damage occurring during improper trial fitting by unqualified individuals.

Bespoke and Custom Orders

Goods that have been specially ordered from third-party manufacturers, precision-machined by external suppliers, or specially imported by the Company on behalf of the Customer to meet exact vehicular specifications.

Sealed Safety Goods

Hazardous mechanical parts, critical safety equipment (e.g., racing harnesses, FIA-approved helmets), or highly sensitive internal engine components where the original protective factory seal has been breached.

3.4 Defective Goods, Diagnostics, and the Right to Repair

If a Customer formally alleges that a mechanical component is defective, the hardware must be returned to the Company's facilities for rigorous professional inspection and diagnostic reporting before any replacement or refund protocol is authorized.

Proof of Professional Installation

To validate a manufacturer warranty claim, the Customer will be legally required to produce documentary evidence of professional installation (e.g., a certified garage invoice). Manufacturer warranties are immediately and permanently voided by evidence of amateur or improper installation.

Implementation of the Right to Repair

Where applicable under evolving statutory warranty rights, if the Customer elects to have a defective product repaired rather than replaced, the statutory warranty period regarding that specific defect shall be subject to a mandatory 12-month extension. If a mechanical repair or a like-for-like hardware replacement is deemed technically impossible, store credit or a full financial refund shall be immediately provided.

Defective Return Logistics

If a mechanical component is formally verified as fundamentally defective upon professional inspection by the Company, the Company shall bear the reasonable, standard-rate logistical costs incurred by the Customer in returning the item. If the item is tested and found to be fully functional, or damaged due to improper installation (see Section 2.5), the Customer shall be solely responsible for all diagnostic testing fees and the cost of return postage to retrieve the item.

3.5 Strict Restrictions on Emissions Component Returns

Final Sale

All sales involving emissions-modifying components are legally final.

All sales involving emissions-modifying components (explicitly designated for off-road and closed-circuit use only) are legally final. The Company shall absolutely not accept returns nor issue financial refunds based upon a Customer's subsequent realization of regulatory compliance issues or their inability to legally deploy the component on public highways. Absolute compliance with the Road Traffic Act 1988 remains the Customer's sole legal responsibility prior to executing the transaction.
