Motorsport has always been the driving force behind Jacques Jensen's professional career. As a life long competitor, his passion for the track has seen him successfully compete across karting, rallying and circuit racing. Backed by a Degree in Motorsport Engineering, he also has 15 years of test driving experience in the automotive industry, working as a tyre test and development engineer for both a tyre manufacturer and a leading OEM.
Jacques isn't just a driver, he understands the fundamentals of a winning team. Before establishing Jensen Race Team, he founded and managed a successful kart racing team, concentrating on meticulous vehicle preparation, top level driver tuition and data analysis, bringing a new level of professionalism to club level karting. Jensen Race Team aims to bring this experience into the historic racing scene.

BSc Motorsport Engineering paired with 10+ years as a lead vehicle dynamics engineer.
Following in the footsteps of his Grandfather and mentor, Tony Cater, Jacques gets the racing bug from a young age. His first taste of competitive motorsport came at Mendip Raceway, where he raced 1/8 scale, nitro powered radio controlled cars.

At the age of 14, Jacques launched his karting career in the Junior Rotax Formula. Competing at the Dunkeswell and Clay Pigeon Raceways, he quickly proved his natural talent by securing the Dunkeswell Club Championship in his very first season.

Building on his early success, Jacques advanced to the highly competitive Senior Rotax category. During this period, he captured multiple major titles, including the Southern, Southwest, Welsh, and Shenington Superprix Championships. His impressive performances caught the eye of the Mansell Motorsport team, leading him to join forces with them to drive OTK Redspeed karts alongside Leo and Greg Mansell.
For the 2010 season, Jacques collaborated with Nigel Mansell and his sons, Greg and Leo, to establish the Mansell Jensen Kart Team. Specializing in Rotax Formula karting, the team quickly became a breeding ground for top-tier talent. Key drivers included future Le Mans racer and W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, Ginetta GT5 Champion Oli Chadwick, multiple British Hillclimb Champion Matt Ryder, and karting champions Nick Arthur and Will Maslin.

Continuing his winning momentum while pursuing higher education, Jacques represented the University of Bath and captured the British University Karting Championship (BUKC). He shared this victory with teammates Fred 'Fast Freddie' Martin-Dye, Dave Turton, and Chris Bell.

Seeking a new challenge beyond the karting circuit, Jacques transitioned to rallying. Alongside co-driver Daniel Stanton, he made his tarmac stage debut in a Wiltshire College-owned MG ZR, gaining valuable experience across a handful of single-venue events.

Progressing their rallying campaign, Jensen and Stanton moved to the loose surfaces of the BTRDA championship. The duo tackled the gravel stages in a Renault Clio 172 Cup, prepared and serviced by the Wiltshire College Motorsport Team.

Returning to the tarmac, Jacques took the wheel of a potent Peugeot 306 Maxi Kit Car. Unfortunately, this promising campaign was cut short following a significant accident at the Bovington Stages.

Following his rallying accident, Jacques returned to his roots to relive what is widely considered the golden era of karting: 90s 100cc air-cooled Formula A. He entered selected rounds of the F100 championship, showcasing his skills in a 1997 Tonykart Extreme chassis paired with CRG, Sirio, and Parilla engines.

Shifting his focus to long-distance competition, Jacques, along with his team mates David Robinson, Chris Davison and Aaron Bailey, formed the LMPC1 race team and competed in the Absolute Alignment Citroen C1 Challenge. It was a dominant year; the endurance team scored the most wins and highest overall points of the season, highlighted by a superb 4th-place overall finish at the gruelling 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Team LMPC1 returned to tackle the final endurance race ever held at Rockingham Speedway. Demonstrating a fierce 'never give up' attitude, Jacques and his team qualified 3rd and were running 2nd after 17 hours before mechanical issues struck. Remarkably, they managed to cross the finish line in 7th place, driving the final stages of the race without a windscreen or tailgate.
Continuing his evolution in the karting world, Jacques stepped up to the demanding KZ2 gearbox class. Racing under the Rush Motorsport banner, he competed at Shenington and Forest Edge using a Maranello chassis powered by SRP-tuned TM engines.

Adding a new discipline to his extensive resume, Jacques made his highly anticipated Historic Formula Ford debut at the Silverstone Finals, taking to the track in his newly acquired 1971 Merlyn Mk20a.

Bringing his decades of diverse motorsport experience full circle, Jacques officially established the Jensen Race Team. The new venture was created to channel his extensive racing pedigree directly into the historic motorsport scene.
